Sid is an interesting dog to have, super confidant. I put him on sheep at 4 months just to see what he would do. He eyed up but really did want to mix it with them, I was expecting that so did have a long line on him. Don't think he will be a thinking dog on sheep but will learn with training and I would think he will go well on cattle. I will be training Sid for agility so have started with the basics. Sid is enthusiastic about everything we do, so is a fun dog to work with, not a careful precision dog but always keen to redo anything until we get it right. Update: Sid has worked cattle now and barks on them, he will make a good cow dog. Very confidant and not afraid to mix it when needed. I don't do much cattle work so most times it is when they get where they shouldn't be. 2011 April Sid has started competing in agility and is doing good, weaves have taken some time but more because of the lack of time I have had, he picked up contacts very quickly and is very reliably with them at home, haven't entered novice with him yet. Update 2012 Sid is turning into a very nice dog on sheep. Spending time slowing him down has brought out more eye and also he is thinking about where the stock is, so going around stock nicely. Happy going around and moving the calves out of paddocks. Sid has been sold.
